About me
About me
Ciao, sono Valentina! Born and raised in Milan, Italy, and professionally assembled between the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.
I studied Industrial Product Design at Politecnico di Milano and Design for Interaction at TU Delft, where I specialized in design for healthcare and explored the psychological and cognitive aspects of user experience. Which means I was trained to apply research frameworks, rigorous methodology and structured problem solving, but my restless curiosity and enthusiasm weren’t satisfied enough, so I expanded my practice with psychology and human cognition, non-formal education methods, and participatory, collective approaches.
Today, my work focuses on the design of services, UX/UI and communication artifacts, as well as workshops, events, youth exchanges, collective artworks and community projects.
I work across healthcare, social inclusion, culture, and their intersections. Different formats, same mission: placing people - users, stakeholders, communities - at the centre of the process.
I believe design, creativity and participation are tools to build agency and connection, and to empower individuals by turning ideas into shared experiences.
I collaborate with organisations, institutions and purpose-driven projects to design solutions and experiences shaped around your identity, your users and your goals.

My creative process
My creative process
Whether I'm working on design, cultural programming, or project writing, the underlying process remains consistent and could be traced back to the Double Diamond Model (Design Council, 2005): it is iterative, participatory in every phase, and adaptable to the context.

Research and solution development unfold iteratively: insights emerging from testing, feedback and real-world application continuously inform and reshape the direction of the project. The depth and rhythm of these iterations adapt to available time, resources and stakeholder engagement.

My work is grounded in user and community-centred principles: through co-design, facilitation and collaborative formats, I involve stakeholders not just as informants, but as active contributors. This allows the project to evolve from real insights, often reframing the initial question, and leading to solutions that are relevant, shared and genuinely impactful.

Each project evolves according to the specific scenario in which it takes place, considering the users, stakeholders, constraints, ambitions and resources. I define tools, methods and depth according to what is meaningful and sustainable in that specific situation.
